AI Time Tracker is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that helps you fill in your time card.
For each day, subtract your start time from your finish time, then subtract any unpaid break. For example, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break is 8 hours minus 0.5 – 7.5 hours worked. Add up all the days to get the weekly total; the calculator shows it in HH:MM.
If your shift ends after midnight, enter the times as they appear on the clock – for example, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The calculator counts the finish time as the next day, so the shift adds up to 8 hours, not a negative number.
Payroll systems often round clock times. Use the Round option to round your start and finish times to the nearest 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes before the hours are calculated.
Yes. The TimeCamp time card calculator is free, with no sign-up and no limit on how many time cards you calculate. Enter your clock-in and clock-out times, unpaid breaks and overtime rules, then print the result or save it as a PDF.
For each day, subtract the start time from the finish time, then subtract any unpaid break. Add the daily totals to get your weekly hours. For example, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch is 8 hours minus 0.5 hours, which equals 7.5 hours. The calculator shows each day's hours in decimal and in HH:MM, and adds the week up in HH:MM.
Type the length of each unpaid break in minutes in the Break (min) column, or tick Auto-deduct 30-min lunch to take 30 minutes off every day you worked. Paid breaks, such as short rest breaks, should not be deducted because they count as hours worked.
Yes. Choose the overtime rule that applies to you: after 40 hours per week, which is the federal standard under the Fair Labor Standards Act, or after 8 hours per day, which some states such as California also require. The calculator then splits your total into regular hours and overtime hours.
Yes. Enter the times exactly as they appear on the clock. If the finish time is earlier than the start time, the calculator treats it as the next day. A shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM counts as 8 hours, not a negative number.
Yes. Each day's Hours Worked and your regular and overtime hours are shown in decimal hours, the format payroll usually uses; the weekly total is shown in HH:MM. To convert by hand, divide the minutes by 60 and add the result to the full hours: 7 hours 45 minutes is 7 + 45/60 = 7.75 hours. For single values, use the decimal hours calculator.
Yes. Use the Round option to round start and finish times to the nearest 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes. In the US, federal rules (29 CFR 785.48) allow rounding to the nearest 5 minutes, tenth of an hour or quarter hour, as long as it does not underpay employees over time. Check your company policy and state law before using 30-minute rounding.
Yes. Set Period to 2 weeks to get a 14-day time card with daily hours and one total for the whole pay period. Set the Week commencing date first and the calculator fills in the dates for each day. Overtime is still counted for each workweek separately.
Yes. Enter your hourly rate and the calculator multiplies it by your hours worked to show gross pay before taxes and deductions. If overtime is on, overtime hours are paid at a multiple of the hourly rate you set in the × field – 1.5 by default.
Yes. You can enter times in 24-hour format, for example 07:30 to 16:00, and the time card calculator converts them into hours worked. For the printout, choose the 24 h time format to keep military time, or 12 h (AM/PM) to show standard time.
No. The calculator runs in your browser and TimeCamp does not store the names, times or rates you enter. Your entries are kept only in this browser's storage on your device until you click Reset. To keep a copy, use Print / Save as PDF before you leave.
Yes. Click Print / Save as PDF to print the time card or save it as a PDF file for your manager or payroll. You can choose a 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour time format for the printout.
A time card calculator adds up when you started and finished work each day, usually for payroll. A timesheet calculator often goes further and records how those hours were spent, for example on which project, task or client. This tool covers both basics: daily start and finish times, breaks and a weekly total you can hand to payroll.
